"I shouldn't want the song to end. I always think of the night as one song. Or each moment as a song. But now I'm seeing we don't live in a single song. We move from song to song, from lyric to lyric, from chord to chord. There is no ending here. It's an infinite playlist."
Nick and Norah met at a punk show. Nick is a non-queer bassist of a queercore band. Norah is a privileged girl who over thinks every motive of every person who walks into her life. Her parents would approve her if she were only more like her best friend, Caroline: Flirty, Oversexed and an alcoholic.
It baffles me how much Nick and Norah go through in one night, but I refuse to go into detail about what this book entails. This is one of those things you have to "read to believe."
But what I WILL tell you is this: F--k is mentioned 268 times.
"Will you be my girlfriend for the next five minutes?"
